Today was a long, but spectacular, day of transit down the west coast on our return to Hobart. On an amazingly calm day in this part of the world, we were spoiled on this leg of our return journey with breathtakingly clear sky over the imposing Ironbound Range, and views from Pinders Peak through to Precipitous Bluff with Federation Peak dominating the horizon.
After a brief stop at Wilson's Bay to swim in it's inviting turquoise waters and collect a stash marine debris left at the entrance to a campsite at the beach, we continued steaming homeward. We plan to overnight near Southport before returning to Hobart tomorrow and unload our haul, recycle what can be reused and dispose of the rest of it appropriately.
Whilst the crew are looking forward to getting home to their own beds and having a good wash, we're also sad that will be soon leaving our South West family and homes (Rumours, Velocity, Dimantina III, Breaksea and Wilson's Voyageur).
We've had an amazing trip, seeing some Tasmania's most beautiful coastline and doing an amazing job with an amazing team.
